Bellaire Medical Care Group was started 8 years ago by 2 close friends, Dr. Al Gueler and Diana S. Fadrique, RN, CCRN, both of whom have practiced medicine in the hospital setting since the early 90's. Dr. Gueler and Ms. Fadrique then took their combined years of medical and hospital experience to open a private Internal Medicine practice known as "Bellaire Medical Care Group" or "BMCG".
BMCG prides itself on principles based on old fashion values and beliefs along with modern medicine. "We are an Internal Medicine group that is committed to the medical profession and to giving the best quality care to our patients possible. Our medical style blends: professionalism, capability, state of the art equipment and above all compassion to truly integrate our patient's medical and emotional needs into our care. We believe that communication with the patient, as well as the patient's family, is of the utmost importance. With open lines of communication our patient’s fears and anxieties can be alleviated as well as making sure they are educated on their illness”.
“We offer a wide scope of services to meet the needs of men and woman at every stage of life including annual physical exams, to disorders and diseases that need more special attention”. “Patient education is a priority in our office” says Ms. Fadrique. “We are proud of the amount of time spent with every patient in order to make sure they understand their disorder, medication(s) and treatment plans. We have handouts that we tailor to that specific patient as well as DVD’s that can be watched in the office with the nurse so their questions can be answered right away”. We also offer many of our patients’ education materials in Spanish as well. Dr. Gueler specializes in Hypertension, Diabetes and Fibromyalgia, and Hypothyroidism.

Dr. Mark Robson, DPM graduated from the California College of Podiatric Medicine (CCPM) in San Francisco California in 1993. He is Board Certified in Foot Surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. Dr. Robson was born and reared in LosAngeles CA, Graduated from undergrad at the University of Texas, at Arlington. As a licensed podiatrist in Austin and Houston TX he believes our patients deserve to have the information needed to make good choices about their foot and ankle care. Our goal is to educate each patient and begin a relevant treatment program for their bunions with the highest quality of care available. No matter what your foot problem is we'll work together to find the answers that will comfort you and bring you relief.
Many patients fail to seek the medical care they need because they have no way to know how expensive the medical costs may be. Many hospitals and doctors charge cash patients two to three times what they receive from insurance companies. In addition to the surgeon's fees, time missed from work, the Hospital or Surgery center fees can be more than $3,000.00. We hope to fill this need and serve those patient paying cash for their Podiatry, foot related medical needs and charge them "fair, reasonable" set prices. We can provide evey Podiatry service from a simple visit for toenail fungus to reconstructive foot surgery at AFFORDABLE rates.
We are a full service Podiatry practice and Dr. Robson is a board certified foot surgeon in practice in Texas over 18 years. Our on site surgical facilities allow affordable surgery compared to hospital based procedures.
The bunion surgery we perform is one of the most common and time tested techniques performed throughout the United States. Sometimes called the "Irving" type bunionectomy the distal chevron osteotomy allows patient to bear weight/walk on the surgery during the healing period. Usually no crutches are needed and the patient walks in a surgical shoe for four weeks, returning to wide comfortable shoes after 4 weeks, full activity 6-8 weeks.
